SEO Every REALTOR® Should Know

If you’re a Realtor® with a real estate website, you have likely heard the three-letter acronym ‘SEO’ thrown around. However, what is often left out of the conversation is what SEO really is, what it does and how it’s achieved.
To summarize, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a confluence of factors which search engines like Google will gauge to weigh the value of your website and the content on it. A big focus is on the relevance and authority of the website’s content. Websites with good SEO can find themselves towards the top of Google’s search results, which in turn results in higher visitor numbers.
How do I achieve good SEO?
There’s many ways to go about this and thankfully, we have a few of these methods in a 3-part guide called DIY SEO for Every Realtor® — and it’s free. For instance, did you know Realtors® can build SEO by blogging? By using a blog you can increase the amount of relevant content on your website in a genuine way. Google even recently updated its algorithm to look for “helpful content” which is confirming the value of genuine, handmade content. Some possible topics for a Realtor’s blog could include:

B. New Listings, Open Houses, or Recently-Sold announcements
C. Feature New Pre-sales or Niche Buildings of Focus
